Volunteer Project – Milwaukee Repeater Club Website Redevelopment

The Milwaukee Repeater Club recently completed a comprehensive redesign and rebuild of its website, creating more than 22 new pages of content and introducing an entirely new visual identity. The project included updated graphics, standardized forms, net control scripts, improved navigation, and a modern layout designed to better serve both current members and prospective amateur radio operators.

A primary goal of the redesign was to highlight one of the club’s greatest strengths: its active schedule of amateur radio nets operating seven nights a week. The new website clearly communicates that there is something for everyone, whether they are a newly licensed operator, a longtime amateur radio enthusiast, or someone curious about the hobby.

The site also serves as a showcase for the club and its flagship MRC91 repeater system while reinforcing the Milwaukee Repeater Club’s long-standing reputation as “The Friendly One.” Every aspect of the redesign was intended to project a welcoming, professional, and community-focused image that accurately reflects the club’s culture and values.

Beyond promoting club activities, the website actively supports amateur radio throughout the Milwaukee area and Southeastern Wisconsin. It provides resources, information, and encouragement for individuals interested in becoming licensed and getting involved in the hobby. Educational content, club resources, and easy access to information help lower barriers to entry for newcomers.

The new website also serves as an important membership development tool. By presenting a polished, informative, and inviting experience, the site creates a strong first impression for visitors and demonstrates the value of participation in the Milwaukee Repeater Club. The result is a modern communications platform that not only supports current members but also helps grow the future of amateur radio in our region.
